CBE also emphasizes the importance of context in the application of skills and abilities. Entrustable professional activities (EPAs), or workplace-based entrustable activities, assure our learners have the necessary skills and competencies to succeed, in a workplace context. The transition toward CBE and EPAs involves many steps, from identification of needs, to mapping our curriculum and activities in it, to training of faculty and workplace preceptors. This transition toward CBE has the potential to transform pharmaceutical education to better prepare our students, advanced trainees and professionals to meet the changing needs of our profession and communities. In turn, this can lead to improved health outcomes.
<AbstractLanguage>English</AbstractLanguage> <Keywords>competency-based education, outcome-based education, entrustable professional activities, EPAs, experiential education</Keywords> <URLs>
https://aaspjournal.org/ubijournal-v1copy/journals/abstract.php?article_id=14508&title=Competency based education and entrustable professional activities transform experiential education
</URLs> <References> <ReferencesarticleTitle>References</ReferencesarticleTitle> <ReferencesfirstPage>16</ReferencesfirstPage> <ReferenceslastPage>19</ReferenceslastPage> <References/> </References> </Journal> </Article> </ArticleSet>
